What does diversity mean to you?

To me, diversity means variety, like a box of celebrations. When I apply the word into a tech company perspective, it means having different people from different race, age, class and more. This allows us to consider all types of views which enables us to create a better solution, collectively.

Why do you care about diversity?

I am a software engineer, and what really scares me is that we will have these new amazing technology used globally but they won’t cater for all.

I understand a product can never meet 100% of expectations, but currently, we only create from one type of perspective.

This can be dangerous as we can start creating more bad than good in the world. We need a diverse perspective when creating solutions for the public.

Where do you find your inspiration?

My twitter timeline. I follow people who are doing similar things to me. It is always good to surround yourself with likeminded people.
